The new sought after ticket at St Ives, top of the ‘GOLD’ membership, If you will, is Shallow.  This 15 acre fishery contains around 60-70 carp in the 20 to 40+ range with ‘Colin’ the largest carp in the lake.  Which came out a few times during 2014, also made it over the magical 50lb mark when more than capable Chris Mitchell caught her in the late spring at 50lb 4oz! There are also over 20 30’s, and many catchable 20lbers.  This one is the one to watch for new 40’s coming through, Big Head at 45+ in 2014 and Laneys at 43+  The largest tench of 2013 was 11-05, and the biggest bream in recent years was 16lb.  Theres an ongoing stocking policy, trickling in a few stunning linears from tricor, so expect a gorgeous small linear to also make an appearance.
